ようこそ、花野井バプテスト教会のホームページへ。

　花野井バプテスト教会は日本バプテスト連盟に加盟するキリスト教会です。バプテストはプロテスタントの一つです。バプテストは全世界に4000万人の信徒がおりますが、最も多いのはアメリカで、故マーチン・ルーサー・キング牧師、ジミー・カーター元大統領もバプテストです。

　教会には、クリスチャン（信者）だけでなく、すべての方が招かれています。嬰児からお年寄りまで、それぞれに応じた集会もございます。初めての方もぜひ、お気軽にお出かけください。みなさまのお越しを心よりお待ちしております。

「偽りの平和ではなく」

♦エレミヤ6章13～15節

　エレミヤが南ユダで御言葉(6:13-15)を語ったのは紀元前7世紀の終わり頃と言われる。既に兄弟国家・北イスラエルはアッシリアに滅亡させられていた。そのアッシリアも衰退が始まった。南ユダは一時的ではあったが新興国家バビロンと手を結び、かつての繁栄した大イスラエル(ソロモン王時代)の復興を願った。強いナショナリズムの風潮と宗教改革の機運が漂った。13｢身分の低い者から高い者に至るまで｣心が高ぶっていた。偽預言者は、聞き心地が良い言葉を口にする。信仰の指導者だった祭司は富をかき集める。民はそれを容認した(5:31)。偽預言者や祭司は14｢平和、平和」と偽りを語る。平和・シャロームが意味するのは、心の平安だけではなく、健康、国家間の平和や経済の繁栄を含む。そのような奢る国家の状況を見て、エレミヤは叱責した。バアルへなびく信仰を指して15「～忌むべきことをして恥をさらした～彼らはつまずく」。20年も経たずして新興国家バビロンはアッシリアに代わり大国となり南ユダに襲いかかる。おごりと富を追求した民の指導者達はバビロンへ連れ去られ、捕囚の身となった。エレミヤを拒否した神の民はヤハウェに不誠実に歩んだ。
　世界のあちこちで戦争が頻発する現代である。 多くの国々で、自国ファーストを唱える政党が目立ち始めた。世界のリーダーを始め我々市井の民も、今一度「十字架の血によって平和を打ち立てた(コロ1:20)」キリストを見上げる必要があろう。ご自身の犠牲において神と人間を和解へと導いたキリストこそ、真実の平和を実現して下さるだろう。　ＫＫ生

“Not a fake peace”

　　　　　　　　　　　　♦ Jeremiah 6:13-15


　Jeremiah is said to have spoken the word of the Lord (6:13-15) in
southern Judah around the end of the 7th century BC. The brother nation, northern Israel, had already been destroyed by Assyria. Assyria itself had begun to decline. Southern Judah, albeit temporarily, allied with the emerging Babylonian Empire, hoping to revive the former prosperity of the great Israel (the era of King Solomon). A strong nationalist sentiment and a spirit of religious reform were in the air. 13 “From the least to the greatest,” hearts were lifted up. Fake prophets spoke words that sounded good to hear. The priests, who were supposed to be leaders of faith, amassed wealth. The people accepted this (5:31). Fake prophets and priests falsely proclaimed, 14 “peace, peace.” Peace—shalom—meant not only inner tranquility but also health, peace between nations, and economic prosperity. Seeing this arrogant state of affairs, Jeremiah rebuked them. Pointing to their Baal-worshipping faith, he declared, “They have done detestable things and brought shame upon themselves... they will stumble.” Within twenty years, the rising power Babylon replaced Assyria as a great nation and attacked southern Judah. The leaders of the people, who pursued pride and wealth, were taken captive to Babylon. God's people, who rejected Jeremiah, lived unfaithfully with Yahweh.
  In our modern age, wars erupt frequently across the world. In many nations, parties advocating “countrymen first” have begun to gain prominence. World leaders, and indeed we common people, must once again look to Christ, who “made peace through the blood of His cross” (Colossians 1:20). Christ, who through his own sacrifice led God and humanity to reconciliation, is the one who will bring about true peace.
